As many readers remember, I was one of 4 contribuitors to a short-lived but popular blog called Maven Yavin. It was hacked, but everything has been reposted here. I'm going to post some of the Maven Yavin stuff on this site, and hope to eventually repost everything here. I'm going to start today with two related posts on Parshat Shemot. It relates to various lists, Midrashic and otherwise, of the things that the ISraelites kept in Egypt, and an analysis of the significance of the items on the list.
